Kara loves to "Read"

Granny-B this picture is for you.

Well she is not exactly "reading" words yet, but she can tell a story based on the pictures in a book. Last night she read a book called "Mouse Goes Out" by Phyllis Root. That author has a series of books that helps parents teach their kids to read. When Kara was reading "Mouse Goes Out" she was actually saying the exact words that were on the page. Tonight she is going to read "Tabby Cat" also by Phyllis Root. I am amazed the Kara's reading comprehension and story recall.

Uncle Chris' Visit

June 21, 2009... Uncle Chris visited us today. We all had a wonderful time! Before his arrival, Kara could not stop talking about him. After he was in the house, we could not find Kara. Several minutes later we found her under the dining room table. She whispered to me "I don't want Chris to see me". During dinner at Bone Fish Grill she did not speak much, but after dinner we could not stop her from talking. She was telling Chris everything that she had done for the past several weeks. Just before he left she ran to him and grabbed him in a huge hug. Chris, we sure have missed you and we are looking forward to your next visit. Thank you

1st Time In The Pool This Year

June 20, 2009.... Kara learned how to swim today (with a floatation vest). Next time she will learn to swim without it, I hope. Grandma Lorene, Kara says she is ready to race you around the pool.

2009 Pre-K Graduation

Friday, June 12, 2009 Pre-K Graduation: What a wonderful but, sad day. Our baby had her first graduation. Her class performed several skits and songs.
